Sam first discovered her passion for hair styling from her stepmom, Judy, who inspired her to pursue a career in the craft.

After graduating from the Federico Beauty Institution in 2015, Sam had the opportunity to work alongside and assist Judy, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. She then expanded her apprenticeship for an additional year and a half, assisting the previous owner, Amber, here at Refinery Salon.

Committed to continual growth, Sam has furthered her education with Federico, completing a two-part cutting course, and has honed her skills through several classic and creative cutting courses at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in San Francisco, including the Special Blondes advanced color class.

Cutting is Sam’s true passion, and she draws inspiration from simple elegance and timeless shapes, creating looks that are both sophisticated and effortlessly wearable.
